3 Best Cups of Hot Chocolate in Oak Harbor

Winter is still here... and since it's still here, we should try to make the best of it. And by best of it, I mean enjoy lots of warm drinks.

There is nothing better than a cup of something warm to drink on these cold, blustery, winter days--and we've had a lot of them this year. Snow in February!? We are so ready for spring time, but before the weather can get warmer, we need to find alternate sources of heat, like for instance, a steamy cup of hot chocolate...

So where can you find some of the best hot chocolate in Oak Harbor? I'll tell you.

3. Whidbey Coffee

They started as an espresso cart back in 1989 but now have 12 locations! We've got 2 locations right here in Oak Harbor, one over on Highway 20 by Wendy's and another over on Pioneer way towards the end of the one way street. Both are a cafe/drive through. Head over to the one on Pioneer, order a cup of hot cocoa, and enjoy the water views.

2. Starbucks

The official coffee of the PNW, Starbucks is your quality go-to place when you visit any new town. Their hot chocolate is topped with sweetened whipped cream and chocolate-flavored drizzle. My favorite coffee there is the Triple Tall Flat White (perfect for when you want a delicious coffee but don't want anything too sweet). My Starbucks of choice is the one over by Thrive (on 7th and SR 20). It's right by my work (Windermere Real Estate), so it's way too convenient.

1. Cafe de Lisio

If you've watched any of my videos (see them here), you've probably seen a cameo from this amazing, incredible, delicious, wonderful, life-changing, life-giving, life-altering coffee shop. I am a huge fan of their drink called the "Attitude Adjuster." It helps me get through my day. If you ever want to order one Annie Cash style, here's how... "I'll take a 24 oz Attitude Adjustor, bold shots, Marissa Style, Espresso whip, and don't forget the I love you."

But Cafe de Lisio does make other delicious drinks too. And big news... They opened up a brick and mortar shop! They've just been a drive through (they're the ones over on Ault Field rd with the long line of cars waiting ever so patiently for their turn at a little taste of heaven). But now you can park your car and head into the shop (open from 6am to 4pm everyday). They did such a fantastic job making this place a cozy place for their customers.

I asked Cafe de Lisio what makes their hot chocolate so special...

"It’s made with Torani Dark Chocolate sauce...yummy! The sauce gives our hot chocolate a more rich, velvety chocolate flavor."
