Local Lift: Chris' Bakery, Blooms & Bites, Raliberto's Taco Shop, & Café De Lisio GIVEAWAY

This week's Local Lift has a little bit of everything: A much-loved bakery that Oak Harbor has loved for decades, a charming new floral and gift shop, some seriously good Mexican cuisine, and a coffee spot that locals are completely obsessed with. So excited to highlight these four Oak Harbor small businesses!

Local Lift is one of the ways I like to support independent businesses here on Whidbey. I started this feature back at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic when local economies were struggling. With each Local Lift, I purchase gift certificates to local businesses and give them away to the community, all while shining a spotlight on what makes each place so great.

Thanks for stopping by!

Please note that I will NEVER ask for credit card info from you! AnnieCashTeam.com is my only website, and "Annie Cash Team - Windermere Whidbey Island" is my only Facebook business page. Thank you!

Chris' Bakery

Chris' Bakery has a long history and goes wayyyy back. Hans K. Christensen started it in Seattle in 1948, then brought it to Oak Harbor, where it became a town staple for decades. The third generation of the family reopened it in 2017 using those same original recipes, and Oak Harbor has been enjoying Chris’ sweet treats ever since. Chris’ Bakery has been named Best Bakery in the Whidbey News-Times "Best of Whidbey" contest, and once you try it out, you’ll see why! They make an extensive variety of donuts, cookies, pies, decorated cakes, breads, pastries (including savory), and also have a beverage menu. Plus, there's even a drive-thru for easy grab-and-go treats.

Blooms & Bites

Blooms & Bites in Downtown Oak Harbor is known for “floral delights and culinary bites”, it is such a fun shop to pop into. In addition to their fresh floral arrangements, you’ll also find a large selection of thoughtfully curated treats and gifts. Whether you need a bouquet, a sweet bite, or a special present for that person who already has everything it's all in one place.

Raliberto's Taco Shop

Raliberto's is the spot for authentic Mexican food in Oak Harbor. People come back again and again for the carne asada, rolled tacos, California burritos, birria tacos, and fish tacos. That’s just the beginning though—their menu is huge! There's a drive-thru for quick stops, and online ordering is available too.

To order from Raliberto's Taco Shop, visit their online ordering page.

Café De Lisio

Café De Lisio has been a Whidbey Island coffee staple since 2009, and it’s one of my faves! The drink menu is massive and features an extensive selection of hot, iced, and blended coffee drinks (over 150 varieties in fact!), smoothies, milkshakes, Red Bull mixers, teas, food options and more. There's both a drive-thru and a walk-in shop at 957 Ault Field Road in Oak Harbor.
