Meet the Newest Member of the Team, Buyer’s Agent Christine Cooper (& 3 Big Reasons Why Having a Buyer’s Agent is Awesome!)

If you’ve ever been through the process of buying a home, then you know it can take time and lots of it! Often, when a new listing comes on the market, we have to jump on it FAST. Especially in Whidbey Island’s current real estate market, homes are sometimes going pending before people even have a chance to tour. (Great for sellers… not so great for buyers.)

That’s where a buyer’s agent can offer a team a huge advantage. I’m excited to introduce Buyer’s Agent Christine Cooper, the newest member of my team!

The Navy brought Christine and her husband to Whidbey Island from NAS JRB New Orleans a little over 3 years ago. Christine is a Louisiana native and a proud graduate of LSU, and her background is in hospitality sales and marketing. For the past 3 years, Christine managed retail and food service contracts for corporate chefs, distributors, specialty grocers, and large chain retailers across the southwest region of the US. Negotiating and navigating the fine print are nothing new to her! And lucky for me, Christine has been dreaming of delving into the world of real estate for as long as she can remember. When her husband extended their contract here on Whidbey Island, she knew it was time.

“When buyers choose The Annie Cash Team, they get two dedicated agents working to achieve their goals,” shares Christine. “I am the primary point of contact for homebuyers. I work closely with them from the initial strategy meeting to house hunting and closing, but Annie is also working with me to ensure our clients are positioned for success when it’s time to submit the offer. That’s the beauty of it! Our clients are always set for success because they’re getting Annie’s industry expertise as Whidbey Island’s top producing agent and my time and flexibility to act and respond quickly in this fast-paced market. I’m either out on the road previewing homes for my buyers or on the phones finding out what’s coming to the market so we never miss a thing!”

There are so many benefits to having a buyer’s agent on your side. Here are 3 of the top reasons why having a buyer’s agent is awesome:

1. Extra quick service.

Since a buyer’s agent ONLY works with buyers, they’re not trying to juggle all of the responsibilities that come with working with buyers and sellers. In our case, Christine works full-time for me, which means she’s available full-time for you! If you have a question or need anything, Christine’s focus on buyers means that she can get back to you ASAP.

2. Flexible schedule.

A buyer’s agent’s main goal is to get you into tour a new listing as fast as possible. When there’s competition, you need to see the home quickly so you have the time you need to decide if you want to make an offer (and then do so in a timely manner). I’m still here with you every step of the way, and I’m ready to negotiate your offer and manage the escrow process.

3. Expert-level knowledge.

A buyer’s agent gets to know their local market incredibly well since it’s what they spend all of their time focusing on. They are on top of everything new on the market, meaning buyers have a much lower chance of missing out on that perfect home that comes online. You also benefit from my years of experience as Whidbey Island’s Top Producing Real Estate Agent when it comes time to write a strategic, savvy offer to win you the home you want.

When you’re ready to buy a home (or even if you’re just thinking about it!) what should you do first?

“I try to make this process as easy as possible for my clients,” shares Christine. “Just give me a call, text, or email and we can coordinate a time for you to come by the office so I can learn about your goals and get you in the perfect home for your family!”

When you’re searching for a home, communication throughout the process is also key: “I communicate whichever way my clients prefer, but I always try to meet up face to face when we need to talk through the big stuff,” elaborates Christine. “A big portion of our market is military families, so sometimes communication means I’m out previewing a home on FaceTime with them or recording a video and emailing them a link so we don’t miss out on a hot property. My goal is to always keep my clients informed so that they know what to expect at all times.”
