Local Lift: Whidbey Farm to Table Thanksgiving Bundle with Serendipity Catering + Events & Bayleaf Giveaway

I’m excited to share a “bonus” Local Lift giveaway that’s just in time for Thanksgiving!

If you’ve been following along recently, then you know that I’ve been doing a Local Lift giveaway series to help boost small businesses here on Whidbey Island. For this Local Lift, I am partnering with Serendipity Catering + Events!

I purchased 2 Whidbey Farm to Table Thanksgiving Bundles from Serendipity, and they are donating one to give away (thank you, Serendipity!). There will be 3 lucky winners who will each win one of the Thanksgiving Bundles, AND each winner will also receive a $30 gift certificate to Bayleaf for wine or appetizers.

Here is what is included in the Whidbey Farm to Table Thanksgiving Bundle by Serendipity (it’s everything but the bird!):

  • Sherman Sugar Hubbard Squash Casserole + Praline Streusel

  • Little Red Hen Sourdough Stuffing with Sausage

  • Bell’s Farm Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

  • Turkey Gravy +Sage + Black Pepper

  • Beecher’s Macaroni + Cheese

  • Sea Salt Roasted Organic Root Vegetables

  • Classic Cranberry Orange Sauce

  • Buttermilk Drop Biscuits (frozen, ready to bake)

  • Wild Crow Pie Co. Organic Pumpkin Pie (frozen, ready to bake)

Each bundle has a $139 value and serves 3–4 (and you’re likely to have leftovers!).

Winners will be drawn at random. To enter, head on over to Annie Cash - Windermere Real Estate Facebook and follow the instructions. (All you have to do is leave a comment to enter!) Deadline for giveaway entries is Monday, November 23 at 5pm PST.

Here is some more info about both of this Local Lift’s featured businesses:

Serendipity Catering + Events

Serendipity Catering + Events was founded back in 2002, and this full-service catering and events company serves “contemporary West Coast food that is fresh, bright, and delicious.” They also love highlighting Whidbey Island’s talented community, and on their website’s About page they share that “Living on such a bountiful island allows us to source many of our products from local artisans, producers, and purveyors – ultimately enriching our island economy through showcasing these incredible products.”

Serendipity really does do it all—they can cater your large wedding, or they can serve dinner to a small group of guests. They can also go all out and provide you with catering, full staffing, bartending, rental coordination, event setup and breakdown, or they can simply deliver prepared meals to your event.

Like many businesses, Serendipity has expanded their offerings to fit the needs of the community during COVID-19. They are now also offering weekly meals that you can order in advance and arrange no-contact pickup and delivery for. You can view and order their different meal bundles here, and this is a fantastic option to give you a break from cooking all while enjoying a delicious meal in your home and supporting a fantastic local Whidbey Island business.

You can order Thanksgiving meal bundles through Wednesday, November 18th—click here to view meal options and order! You can learn more about their services here, and follow Serendipity Catering + Events on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
