Your Guide to Summer Camps on Whidbey Island: Sailing, Theatre, Language Immersion, & More!
Summer is right around the corner, and now is the time to sign kids up for summer camps on Whidbey Island! There’s something for every age and interest, and summer is the perfect time for kids and teens to try something new and maybe even pick up a new hobby. (Plus, these camps are sure to keep kids busy and prevent the inevitable “I’m bored!” comments from happening!)
South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District
The Summer catalogue is packed with a huge selection of classes, workshops, camps, etc.! Kids can participate in camps designed around everything from archery and art to soccer and sailing. In addition to your more classic sports-focused camps, there are also more unique camps that center around underwater robotics, survival skills, magic tricks, and more.

OAK HARBOR
Oak Harbor Youth Sailing
Located at Oak Harbor Yacht Club
Dates: Various camps run between June 26-August 2
Ages: 9-15
Teaching everything from the science behind sailing (how do boats sail? How do the tides and currents work?) to hands-on sailing experience, both beginners and immediate sailors alike can test the waters at camp this summer! There are 4 different camp sessions—click here for dates and more details.
Whidbey Playhouse Summer Youth Workshop
Located at 730 SE Midway Blvd. Oak Harbor, WA 98277

Ages: 7-14

FREELAND
Full Moon Rising Farm

Ages: 5-12, children ages 12+ can apply to be an apprentice
Farm Life Camp, Dancing Goat Yoga Camp, Green Arts Camps… these are just a few of the camps offered at Full Moon Rising Farm! Kids can learn a variety of different useful skills this summer all while spending time outside and meeting other kids their age. You can find info on each different camp offered here.
LANGLEY
Northwest Language & Cultural Center Camps
Located at 1804 Scott Rd, Freeland, WA 98249
Ages: 7-12
2019 Summer Camps have not been announced yet, but in 2018 campers enjoyed immersive cultural experiences that included French Summer Camp and Spanish Summer Camp. CLINTON
Lakeside Bible Summer Camp

Dates: June 23-August 10
Ages: 8-19
